Dr. Werner Röhrs KG is a steel forming company which’s product portfolio is diversified widely including springs, fan wheels, fire tubes and ski lift accessories. Dr. Werner Röhrs KG provides technically challenging product solutions to the further processing industry as well as to end product manufacturers throughout the world.
The Dr. Werner Röhrs KG was founded in 1919 as a manufacturer for highly stressed spring products. Since then, it became a specialist concerning steel treatment and satisfies its customers with its extensive know-how. Committed employees, intense research and development and state-of-the-art test-laboratories led the company to a spring manufacturer for highest demands.
The company also shows an impressive development concerning its products. Launching with springs (coil springs, multi-wire springs, tension springs e.g.) the company developed four major product lines until today: springs, burner tubes, fan wheels and ski-lift technology.
But the growth of the spring product group has not stopped in the meantime. As a result of different operation purposes and special customer needs, like spring length, spring characteristic and installation space, the spring program developed to a large spectrum of springs. Our springs range from compression springs like spring washers, helical disc springs, flat wire springs, round wire springs, cone springs, strand springs, leg springs up to tension springs.
One of the most important springs of the Dr. Werner Röhrs KG is the helical disc spring. Helical disc springs are used whenever customers require high spring forces within a small installation space. Due to their high lifetime, compared to spring washers (disc springs), they can be used in nearly all technical applications.
Flat wire springs are cylindrical compression springs made from flat wire. They show the advantage of greater travel or higher spring force compared to round wire springs. Multi wire springs are springs made from stranded wire. They sustain torsional stress compared to normal springs. Multi wire springs keep up their characteristic even if wires within the strand brake. Therefore they are often used as safety springs.
