BERG SPM-HV Pallet Clamping Heads
ApplicationClamping heads of the SPM-HV series are used for pallet clamping on single or double axis indexing tables. With the clamping heads and attendant tapered rings, maximum repeat precision of the clamping position is achieved. Due to the mechanical clamping principle with integrated force intensification and locking feature, only one unclamping line without permanent pressure is necessary. Therefore, the clamping head is particularly suited for applications under very tight spatial conditions and for highly dynamic tables. The self-locking gearing ensures that the pallet is protected against falling, as the retaining forces are much higher than the clamping forces. Design FeaturesThe shape and positional accuracy of the clamping cones guarantee maximum repeat precision during a pallet change. The pallets are compatible with the clamping heads of the SPH and SPH-V series. The conical surfaces with a hardness greater than 60 HRC and the special hardness depth are insensitive to any type of soiling. The clamping bolt screw-fitted into the pallet with the tapered ring is drawn into the clamping head by a spring actuated collet. During this process, the spring force is intensified by an integrated gearing. An integrated hydraulic piston unclamps the locking device and releases or ejects the clamping bolt. AccessoriesTaper ring, pull stud, clamping force measuring system. Data Sheet
