BERG Spring Stacks

Spring stacks are used in machining spindles for mechanically generating the actuation force for the clamping means.

Design Features

BERG Spanntechnik uses special disc springs developed for this spring stacks application and having a very high energy density. This permits compact spring packages and short spindle lengths. The single spring arrangement used makes it possible to achieve optimum power constancy without the lubrication-dependent jacket friction of multiple arrangements. The special springs are manufactured with substantially limited play to the draw-bar which leads to a very stable and well-balanced quality of the clamping system. The familiar problems associated with screw plate springs with torques during the spring stroke do not occur with these spring packages.
BERG spring packages are designed to be fatigue resistant.

Ordering

Spring stacks are offered as spindle equipment in a complete unit including draw-bar, connector and actuation in combination with an attendant gripper set.
