Roehrs Speciality Springs

Helical Disk Springs

Helical Disk Springs

Roehrs patented helical disk springs are often an ideal replacement for Belleville / disk spring stacks. The springs consist of two helical compression springs with cross sections similar to those of disk springs. The springs are ideally suited to machining center clamping systems and vibration absorbing systems. Advantages: one-piece design speeds assembly and maintenance (compared to many individual disks), maintains integrity much better than disk springs in case of failure. Helical disk springs can also be formed into multi-coil springs that offer characteristics not obtainable with any other type of spring of the same size, as well as situations that normally would require several springs. Visit our Helical Disk Spring web page for further information.

Combination Springs

Combination Springs

Combination spring sets consisting of round wire, flat strap-springs and/or helical disc springs are designed to obtain maximum power and the highest possible service life in compact spaces.

Advantages and characteristics: very high spring force even in small areas, up to 20% higher efficiency due to high tech materials, inner spring can take over the function of a guide shaft, high resistance to harsh environments and temperature variations, simple to install, functional even with a break in the spring. With the Roehrs flat strap-spring set, it is possible to achieve double the service life of a common disc spring. Roehrs combination springs have been used for demanding applications from satellites and ski lifts.

Example spring application: with a spring set with a 66.5 mm diameter and 156.5 mm length, a useable force of about 100 kN (22,480 lbs) is available!

Multiwire Springs

Multiwire Springs

Roehrs multiwire springs are made from strands of wire and are used as helical compression springs, torsion springs, and formed springs. Multiwire springs are highly sophisticated technical products and are used when single wire springs will normally fail due to high impact loads and frequencies. Advantages: absorb high shock speeds and acceleration forces, excellent damping characteristics, absorb high load frequencies, absorb high peak loads.

Shock Absorber and Vibration Damping Assemblies

Shock Absorber & Vibration Damping Assemblies

Utilizing helical disk and multiwire springs, Roehrs shock absorbers and vibration damping assemblies have excellent damping capabilities even with extreme temperature variation. They are capable of absorbing high shock forces and load frequencies and improve safety due to their ability to absorb energy from all directions. In addition, they are resistant to oil, grease and solvents.

Automotive Exhaust Springs

Automotive Exhaust Springs

Roehrs automotive exhaust system springs are designed for use between the engine and exhaust system. They utilize a fully elastic suspension to minimize bending stress, and are designed for absorption of axial forces and torsion at temperatures up to 400° C. The springs minimize noise and help to extend the lifetime of the exhaust system since they are constructed of corrosion resistant materials.
